PICK YOUR POISON.

We’ve all heard the phrase, “Pick your poison,” which often references being faced with choosing between two different alcoholic beverages. I decided to have fun with this title and my “poison” for the day, was a sexy cocktail from Nomad Hotel, complimented by a venomous snake inspired ensemble. The interesting thing about the crystallized snake detail that is embroidered on my velvet Gucci slippers, is that the species of this serpent is in fact non-posisonus. Gucci uses a healing snake that is also found on the medicine symbol. We can now all feel good about wearing snakes..thanks Gucci! Snake print is back and is a season favorite. I paired my Gucci velvet slippers and Salvatore Ferragmo velvet belt with high waisted denim shorts, opened python print button-up shirt, and a leather jacket to complete the look. I added a cool drop necklace to accessorize the outfit a bit. This look was perfect for going out for cocktails before having dinner with friends. My “poison” of choice was a lemon and mint gin cocktail. The bartender muddled fresh mint leaves and fresh squeezed lemons into a copper shaker with Hendrick’s Gin, and served over ice. This drink is on the more potent side because of the natural ingredients that it contains. I would definitely order this cocktail again. Snakes really get a bad reputation and are often prejudged before you get to know them, just like people. Let’s celebrate the good ones and wear some snake print this season.
