PARENTAL AD"VISOR"Y: COCKTAIL CONTENT.

When sun visors and biking shorts decided to made a come back, I signed up immediately. Or wait, did they officially make a come back, or did I just bring them back in my mind? Either way, I’m for sure visors are all the rave right now. My infatuation with all things 90s, and some 80s, has always been a part of my fashion repertoire for quite some time. Christian Dior created an array of visors that are now a summer staple. Whether you are at the pool, or needing some shade on a sunny day, this accessory is a must have. If you know me by now, then you know that one simple concept can help me build an entire themed outfit. For this look, I wanted to give a quintessential retro vibe. I decided to pair my visor with a wind breaker short set. I added a pair of sparkly biking shorts underneath, to create depth and a pop of fun. To complete the look, I finished it off with white Dolce&Gabbana tube socks and Balenciaga runners to add a modern feel to the outfit. I did not want to make it seem entirely dated, instead pay homage to an era that is in full effect at the moment. This look was perfect for my daytime drinking at the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills. The rooftop views of the hills was breathtaking. A refreshingly spiked lemonade was the drink of choice. Fresh squeeze lemonade with Tito’s vodka, topped with luscious raspberries and Prosecco, will probably be one of my summer favorites. Oh and how could I forget my favorite Gucci belt bag that fit so perfectly with this look. My adult cocktail may need a bit of parental ad”visor”y. To truly understand this era and fashion reference, you’re probably an adult at this point and won’t need adult supervision to consume the beverage. I thought the title was fun and catchy, and as corny as I am, I ran with it. So let’s keep the 90s alive and pull out some retro gear!
