ROSES AND ROSÈ.
All right cocktail connoisseurs, It’s officially Rosè Season! This is probably one of my dearest times of year, since it occurs during my favorite season. Spring! Roses are blooming and the Rosè is flowing. My normal wine of choice is traditional a Sauvignon Blanc from the New Zealand region, but Rosè comes in at a close second. Rosè wines can range from still options, semi-sparkling or sparkling wine, consisting of varied levels of sweetness. Miraval by far is my favorite brand. In the summer, I’ve also crafted Frosè for pool parties and for entertaining friends. This icy cocktail mixes frozen Rosè, strawberries, sparkling wine and simple syrup for taste. On this particular night, I cut the tags off of my new black Rose printed shirt, that I used as inspiration for my beverage of choice. I met a friend that was visiting from Atlanta, at the London Hotel in West Hollywood, California. We had an opportunity to catch up and enjoy a few glasses of Rosé. The LA nights are chilly, so I added an oversized Ecru colored, cable knit cardigan, over the Rose printed button up. To spruce up the look, I accessorized it by wearing a black Ferragamo Gancini belt with a golden buckle and black Gucci jelly sandals with studs and tiger head detail. To bring a unique aspect to the outfit, I added white socks to complete this look. Wine is always a good way to enjoy friends. Sharing a bottle and caching up on life on a Thursday night, is one of my favorite things to do. Stay tuned through out the season where I will feature more Rosy cocktails.
And always remember…
“DRESS ACCORDINGLY AND DRINK RESPONSIBLY.”
