...WITH A TWIST OF LIME.

The wonderful, colorful world of fluorescently refreshing hues of lime green, has crept into designer collections such as Prada, Balmain, and Balenciaga, to name a few. It has become a staple and one of this seasons must haves. From chunky over-sized knit sweaters down to bright neon sneakers, this is a style that you do not want to miss. I’ve embraced this trend by blowing the dust off of my white 80’s inspired shorts, pulling up my high athletic Kenzo socks and throwing on my over-sized neon green sweater, to create a bright and sensational daytime look. I am always delighted to enjoy an afternoon cocktail and today’s drink of choice was a vodka + soda. While visiting the Nomad hotel in downtown Los Angeles, a simple vodka + soda with 2 limes instantly transformed my leisure Thursday ensemble into a classic cocktail that became a fashion look of the day.  If you know like I know, in Los Angeles, the nights tend to be a bit on the chilly side and a layering piece is essential. During my journey over, I realized that it was warmer than I had anticipated. Good thing I was prepared. I was able to tie my brilliant pop of color knit around my waist and show off my cool Kenzo t-shirt, that complimented my socks. It’s always important to be fashionably prepared in any type of weather. Being able to transition one complete look into and equally effective one, is a helpful tip to remember. Using your favorite T-shirt as an under shirt makes for an easy switch when the weather shifts from cool to warm or vice-versa. Just think of yourself as Mr. Rogers from Mr. Rogers neighborhood, a childhood 70’s and 80’s fashion icon who changed his looks depending on where or what he was doing throughout the day. Everyday should be a beautiful yet fashionable day in the neighborhood!
