BUR-BERRIES & BUBBLES.

Burberry is back captivating hearts and making its mark on the fashion radar, all over again. After some revamping, this iconic brand, known for its trench coat and recognizable Nova check plaid pattern, has crept its way back into the closets of fashion enthusiasts. I must say, I’ve certainly joined the movement. From Dior to Fendi to Burberry, sun visors are becoming a Spring/Summer essential in the world of head gear. This particular Burberry visor, was inspired by the 1983’s check version. The brilliant and bright red, Burberry collegiate crest hoodie, is a great layering piece and an easy everyday throw-on. To keep with the 1980s-90s theme, I incorporated a pair of khaki color, culotte shorts, that I purchased a few years ago from ASOS. I was dying to find the perfect time to wear them. I also added white slouchy tube socks and a Gucci fanny pack to complete the look. The oversized, chunky, velcro strap, vintage plaid sneakers, are one of my top pairs of shoes right now and complimented my Burberry homage moment quite nicely. My drink of choice that inspired my outfit was a Champagne spritzer, containing fresh berries and other assorted fruits. This very refreshing cocktail mixes Champagne or sparkling wine, Aperol, splash of grapefruit juice, over ice, served in an oversized wine glass, and garnished with fruits and berries. This look happens to be one of my favorites. It transitions perfectly into the spring weather and incorporates new trends with reintroduced concepts such as visors and culottes.
