GANCINI MARTINI.

It’s all about the logo! Designer brands such as Fendi, Gucci, Burberry, Dior, and Louis Vuitton, have all taken it back to their heritages and reinvented their iconic logos, in an updated and cool way. This week I decided to pay homage to a brand that joined the trend as well, but stepped out of their traditional aesthetic and created “Gancini Mania.” Salvatore Ferragamo took a new vision on the brand and remastered the Gancini print throughout their SS19 collection for both men and ladies. What made Ferragamo’s version so unique to me, is that they did not take the urban street approach to the all over print craze. I personally chose the jacquard print baseball cap, long sleeve cotton button-up shirt, and two strap jacquard and leather sandal. I paired these pieces with a classic light weight trench jacket. Netflix has become a new addiction of mine and I am currently binge watching a few shows. “Grace and Frankie” is one of them. Grace loves a vodka martini and I must say, I was dying to try one. I’ve never been a martini kind of guy, because I am a bit clumsy and the glass that martinis are traditionally served in, gives me anxiety. While visiting the bar at Catch LA, I noticed the martini glass that was used, had a unique shape and did not seem as wobbly. I ordered a vodka martini just like Grace, but I made mine extra dirty, with extra olive juice. The martini was a perfect treat that complimented my outfit for that day. I love a logo and a print, so this was right up my alley. Ferragamo’s Gancini print is a great addition to my wardrobe, especially the baseball cap. I find myself wearing my cap to the grocery store or even to dinner. Since the jacquard fabric has a luxurious feel, the hat can easily become a staple and transitional piece. Next time you are out, go have a martini and wear some Gancini print!

And always remember…

DRINK RESPONSIBLY AND DRESS ACCORDINGLY!
