A LAB IN LONDON.

I am so excited to share this post. I am over the moon about this amazing bar that I visited while in London called, “The Alchemist.” What I loved so much about this bar was the design and theme. The mixology and scientific atmosphere was reminiscent of a mixing lab with adult cocktails. I was in Chemistry 101 heaven! The menu was designed to mimic a periodic table. There was an array of mixed drinks served in beakers, lightbulb shaped glasses, and all types of fun chemistry related paraphernalia. You can experience things bubbling over, smoking, and even on fire. My first drink of choice was called “Tickle me pink.“ This beverage mixed St. Germaine, gin, lime juice and nettles over ice. What made this cocktail so unique, was the shot of Absinthe that was served in a syringe. I was instructed to shoot the rose flavored Absinthe before consuming the cocktail. I had a wonderful time trying various beverages. I also sampled “Bubble Bath” and “The Light Bulb Moment.” Since I was feeling like a chemist, it was only fitting that I wore my “lab jacket” for this outing, or better known as my Burberry trench. The camel colored long parka, definitely made me feel like a scientist for the day. London is the home of Burberry, so I had to go all out with my outfit of choice. I paired my trench coat with a vintage script Burberries t-shirt, 1983 Burberry check visor, black pleated pants, Burberry equestrian socks, Gucci red Marmont belt, and Gucci Princetown mules lined in kangaroo fur. I wanted to give a more uptown, Bond Street, look to show a bit of versatility. In my previous post, I channeled a more urban London street vibe. Both looks were fun to execute and I was able to embody and experience two very different cultures in London. I must say, “The Alchemist” ranks as one of the top bars I have visited around the world.

And always remember…

DRESS ACCORDINGLY AND DRINK RESPONSIBLY!
