I FOUND THE VEUVE, BUT LOST MY HORSE.

On Saturday, I attended the Veuve Clicqout, 10th Annual Polo Classic, in Los Angeles. This was my 2nd year going and I had a blast. There were a few hiccups with the transportation and the shuttle service that drove us to and from the venue. Other than that, the event was worth it. I decided to purchase a bottle of Veuve Clicqout to get me through the day. I gathered a group of my closest friends, packed a nice picnic basket full of snack, and we made a relaxing day out of it. Majority of the people who attend this event, traditionally dress in bright colors, floral prints, and large hats, giving Derby vibes. I decided to take a non-traditional approach this year and pulled inspiration from the actually jockeys who compete in the match. I wore authentic show boots paired with black riding pants. However, I had to make it a little fun and add a special touch to this look. I am a huge fan of, “The Realhouswives of Beverly Hills,” and I saw Dorit Kemsley wearing a pair of Chanel suspenders when she went horseback riding with Lisa Vanderpump, I was in love with this look. Of course these gems were sold out everywhere. I got lucky and found a vintage pair at a consignment shop here in Los Angeles. I added the suspenders to my look and finished it off with a crisp white jacquard, Gancini print Ferragamo button-up. I used my Chanel brooch as a neck closure for an extra touch. I enjoyed executing this look. It’s always a hit when you take the non-traditional approach to fashion when you attend an event. You get to show your true self and shine bright in a crowd. Now I just have to figure out how to top this look next year.

And always remember…

DRESS ACCORDINGLY AND DRINK RESPONSIBLY!
